Job Title: Data Administrator - Engineering
Location: Metairie, LA Position Overview: The Data Administrator, Engineering initiates and perform various administrative duties in support of engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities: \n - Interfaces with engineering personnel, regulatory bodies, class societies, vendors, subcontractors, and yard personnel.
\n - Works with Engineering by organizing and tracking formal deliverables and VFI for all projects.
\n - Responsible for all job administration and coordination for a project, as a team member and manages all correspondence and data assigned by the Project Engineer.
\n - Interface with Engineering, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Purchasing, Accounting, Production Control, and management as required.
\n - Maintains and tracks Program Change Documentation (i.e. ECPs, ECRs, TPs, TIs, PTS/SOWs, RFPs, RFVs, GFI/GFIDs)
\n - Processes, assembles, and tracks drawing issues, drawing correspondence, drawing comments, deliverable status report, regulatory and class correspondence (including comments), and job-related transmittals.
\n - Support of CDRL management, submissions, tracking, and reporting if required.
\n - Provides support to project teams by providing administrative checks and balances to ensure adherence to engineering procedures.
\n - Assembles and maintains project files within SharePoint.
Performs data management via IDE site by uploading and downloading data for review and approvals. \n - Regulatory body point of contact for postings and retrieval of information necessary for the class approval of each assigned project.
\n - Maintains KMS to reflect open and closed liens and required reports in support of weekly status meetings.

Experience :
• Minimum of one (1) year of shipbuilding experience, with recent focus on change, data management, document control and process development.
• Knowledge of Ships Work Breakdown Structure (SWBS)
• Knowledge of database administration and maintenance (Microsoft Access, SQL Server or Oracle)
Skills and Abilities: • Knowledge of general engineering administration and development practices.
• Ability to communicate on all levels with Program Management, Project, Engineering, and Production Personnel to ensure all program requirements are fulfilled in accordance with contractual requirements and obligations.
• Strong knowledge of general engineering administration practices.
• Must be able to gather, organize, collate, and distribute large amounts of data to support managing projects.
• Must be able to prepare presentation materials in support of meetings.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and on multiple projects required.
Possess intermediate knowledge of using Microsoft Office Suite. Basic AutoCAD skills are desired.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees, customers, and subcontractors including good communication skills oral and written.
