Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with current IL license and Level 1 Trauma experience who can scrub and circulate.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a hospital-based Operating Room environment
• Patient population includes ortho, ortho trauma, vascular, urology, and general surgery cases
• Preferred experience with neurosurgery (cranial and spine), open heart/thoracic, ophthalmology, ENT, bariatric, and gynecology procedures
• Day shift, 5x8 hours per week, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• On-call required: one 12-hour shift per month on a Saturday or Sunday, either 7A-7P or 7P-7A
• Mandatory floating to any Cook facility within 50 miles and potentially outside primary competency area using a team-based approach
• Floating assignment may be communicated as late as 2 hours before shift start
• Must be responsive and promptly provide all required documentation and ETAs
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting an assignment
• Compliance deadlines must be met by the Monday before orientation
• Maximum 5 days of RTO allowed, with no more than 2 consecutive days and no RTO allowed on weekends, holidays, or surrounding days
• No block scheduling or special scheduling requests permitted
• If a call-out occurs on a holiday, contract may be canceled
• Candidates within 75 miles will be considered local and are accepted at a lower rate

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active IL RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current resume, cover letter, skills checklist, and Primary Source Verification required
• Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma OR required
• Must be able to both scrub and circulate in the OR
• Experience with ortho, ortho trauma, vascular, urology, and general surgery required
• Proof of COVID vaccination required prior to start; booster not required
