Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with a current CA license and the required certifications for a night shift position with variable start times.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Room position in a hospital setting
• Night shifts with variable start times at 7:00 pm or 11:00 pm, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• On-call as needed
• May float to an additional campus as required
• Responsible for the overall management and delivery of patient care from admission to discharge
• Expected to prioritize, plan, and coordinate emergency interventions in routine and complex situations
• Collaborates with patients, physicians, families, and the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
• Must be able to set priorities and respond to medical and environmental emergencies efficiently
• Initial and ongoing assessments, planning individualized care, and evaluating patient outcomes are core responsibilities
• Only one approved holiday request for time off will be accepted during the assignment
• Candidate must be available for required lab work within 3-5 days of signing the contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ER RN experience
• Must comply with a 50 mile radius rule
• Returning staff must have been gone for at least 1 year before consideration
