Responsibilities

Howmet Engines is a world-class producer of aero engine and industrial gas turbine components, including airfoils, rings, disks and forgings. We excel in vacuum melted superalloys, machining, performance coatings and hot isostatic pressing for high performance parts that enable the next generation of quieter, more fuel-efficient aero engines and cleaner power generation. Howmet Dover Casting is a world-class supplier of complex, investment-cast turbine airfoils and other components for the aircraft engine and industrial gas turbine industries. Howmet Dover Alloy is a world-class supplier of vacuum and air-melted nickel- and cobalt-based superalloys to aerospace, gas turbine, medical and other high-technology industrial markets. .

Anticipated Pay Range: $75k-$95k per year. *Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.

Job Summary:

The selected candidate will report to the Procurement Operations Manager and provide support to the HDC and HDA Procurement Team located in Dover, NJ to ensure Business Unit goals are met through the execution of procurement strategies. Procurement strategies include but are not limited to the security of supply, cost savings, optimization of processes, and supplier risk mitigations. The overall goal is to support production schedule while obtaining the best achievable value for supplies and services while maintaining compliance with company procedures.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

• Prepare request for quotes and proposals based on Plant requirements.
• Review quotations and perform cost analyses to determine best value based on price, schedule, quality, and capability.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and lead times that align with Plant goals.
• Place purchase orders based on approved requisitions to support production, operations, and inventory needs.
• Manage and maintain purchase orders to include accurate pricing, charge account codes and vendor promise dates.
• Monitor invoices on hold and work with internal stakeholders and suppliers for resolution.
• Work with the Receiving department to reconcile shipping documentation from suppliers.
• Collaborate with other departments (Shipping, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Accounts Payable, Facilities, Etc.) to resolve Plant issues with timely resolution.
• Assist in the on-boarding of new suppliers and new item set ups.
• Ensure company procurement procedure compliance is met for quality and financial audits.
• Provide excellent and attentive support to overall business operations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 year of experience working in Procurement, Finance, or Supply Chain.
• Experience in ORACLE, or similar type Enterprise Business Systems experience.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform metrics and reports on various data collections.
• Willingness to frequently visit the shop floor for better understanding of Plant operations.
• Customer-oriented personality.
