About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Campaigns to lead the strategic development and implementation of cross-departmental federal and regional campaigns, with a primary focus on climate-related issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the organization achieves its policy priorities on climate, environmental health, and nature at both the federal and state levels. This role involves managing a team of campaign staff, providing strategic direction, and overseeing the execution of advocacy tactics to influence policymakers. The Managing Director will also be a key partner in planning and executing advocacy campaigns, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners, and managing a discretionary budget. Applicants for the Managing Director position at the company should possess excellent communication, advocacy, and social skills, as well as a strong professional network across political and advocacy organizations. The role demands an adept project manager who can handle multiple priorities and is committed to the mission and values of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a reputation for consistently achieving goals, be able to handle complex discussions with diplomacy, and have the ability to travel and work from the office as needed. A growth mindset, coupled with methodical planning and patient discipline, is essential. The company is an equal-opportunity employer and is particularly interested in candidates from diverse backgrounds.
