Job Summary:
Epic HIM Systems Analyst - coordinate Informatics Dept. systems development, implementation, and training. Serve as an advisory resource for management personnel and end users to effectively utilize the Hospital’s clinical information systems. Act as a liaison between the end users, ancillary departments, Informatics and Information Technology to address interdepartmental and Epic system needs.
Core Responsibilities:
Assure the maintenance and support of Hospital Information Systems application software, including user-requested modifications and enhancements.
Monitor information systems usage and perform activities to enhance usage and user satisfaction.
Collaborate with end users to assist with process flow issues, functionality questions, and to generally promote end user satisfaction. Analyze reported systems issues and take appropriate actions to resolution.
Develop, test and coordinate the efforts to build tables, files and directories required by the systems.
Coordinate installation of hardware, vendor service, and training in accordance with executed contracts and work plans.
Participate in the detailed specification development and testing of interfaces—work closely with the integration team.
Assist in the development of customized user documentation as needed.
Assist Management Personnel with the planning, selection, and implementation of clinical information systems.
Monitor and access the progress of clinical systems implementation from Hospital’s perspective.
Coordinate report request between end users and reporting team.
Research problems and forward the results to vendor for solutions and corrections.
Participate in systems coordination efforts between Jamaica and Flushing hospital
Enhance professional growth and development through in-service meetings, educational programs, training sessions, etc.
As Lead, foster team growth, transfer knowledge, and encourage policy compliance.
Provide timely status reports
Perform other related duties when called upon by the Informatics Dept and immediate supervisor.

WORK LOCATION: Hicksville, NY
WORK SCHEDULE: Hybrid with 2 remote days after 90 days from start date
