Job Description POSITION SUMMARY The Application Analyst - Ancillary (Anesthesia) serves as the primary support contact for end-users of Epic software specializing in Anesthesia. This role involves identifying and troubleshooting issues that arise within the application area, as well as those affecting other application teams, and working collaboratively to resolve them. The analyst will guide workflow design, build and test the system, and address technical issues related to Epic software. They will also handle the implementation of system changes based on user requests, acting as a liaison between end users' workflow needs and the Epic implementation team. Regular communication with Epic representatives is key, including participation in weekly project meetings. The analyst works closely with the organization's business community and end-users to ensure the system aligns with business needs, project deliverables, and timelines. By attending site visits and integrated sessions, the analyst develops a deep understanding of operational requirements and sets the direction for workflow development. This role includes troubleshooting, providing training to end-users, and maintaining regular status updates with leadership on project progress, deliverables, and concerns. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Epic Certifications in one or more Epic applications (required within 180 days of hire)
Experience: - Familiarity with federal, state, and hospital policies related to anesthesia documentation
- Familiarity with scheduling workflows, resource management, and workflows that involve anesthesia staff throughout your organization
- Familiarity with how anesthesiologists work with other departments, including the OR, procedural areas, the ED, and L&D
- EHR Configuration and Build Experience, Epic preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: - Knowledge of system development methodology and principles of project management.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Technical knowledge and understanding of clinical systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff.
- Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
License/Certification/Registration: - None required

Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Acting as the primary support contact for the application's end-users

- Identifying and implementing requested changes to the system
- Serving as a liaison between end users' workflow needs and Epic implementation staff
- Maintaining regular communication with Epic representatives, including participating in weekly project team meetings
- Working with Epic representatives, your organization's business community, and end users to ensure the system meets the organization's business needs in regards to the project deliverables and timeline
- Developing an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's workflows by attending site visits and other integrated sessions
- Participating in training and working with end users
- Troubleshooting problems and questions
- Reviewing the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership
- Support other systems as assigned.
