Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, experience with pets, and the ability to follow specific care instructions for a variety of breeds and sizes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily walks, exercise, and playtime for pets.
- Feed pets according to instructions and ensure they have access to fresh water.
- Administer medication (if required).
- Clean up after pets during walks and in their living spaces.
- Provide companionship and attention to pets to ensure their well-being.
- Communicate with pet owners to provide updates on their pets, including photos and notes.
- Monitor pets for signs of illness, injury, or stress and report concerns to owners immediately.
- Follow specific care instructions for each pet, including behavior management techniques.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience with pets (professional or personal).
- Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds and sizes (experience with large breeds is a plus).
- Reliable transportation to travel between clients.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Physically fit and able to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.
- A genuine love for animals and patience with varying pet temperaments.
Additional Requirements:
- Background check
- References from previous pet care experience.
- Pet CPR or First Aid certification (preferred, but not required).
Compensation:
- • Commissioned per walk/visit
