Job Title: Traveling Journeyman Electrician with per diem

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and supporting electrical infrastructure while ensuring compliance with design and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install and support electrical infrastructure including raceways, conduit systems, and cable trays to meet design and code requirements.
• Terminate motors and motor control systems, ensuring proper operation and safety compliance.
• Pull and route wire and cable according to specifications and project plans.
• Install and terminate transformers, bus duct, switchgear, and motor control centers with precision and adherence to safety standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation including quality assurance sign-off sheets and customer approval forms.
• Interpret and apply electrical codes, blueprints, schematics, sketches, and technical specifications to assigned tasks.
• Execute all work with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality, minimizing downtime and material waste.

Essential Skills

• Strong math skills with the ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of measure.
• Proficiency in making precise cuts and measurements to reduce material waste and support complex installations.
• Ability to understand and construct complex forming systems and layouts.
• Commitment to safety training and compliance, capable of performing tasks independently and responsibly without constant supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Journeyman Electrician, with the ability to reciprocate to Iowa.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including weekends and holidays, as required by project needs.

Work Environment

The work environment requires wearing all company or project-required personal protective equipment (PPE). The employee will regularly work in outside weather conditions, be aware of close moving mechanical parts, and perform in high, precarious places. Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles is expected. The noise level is usually loud. Working a lot of overtime is required, with a schedule from Monday through Saturday.

The pay range for this position is $95680.00 - $95680.00/yr.
