Job Details

• Physical therapists (PTs) are licensed health care professionals who help patients reduce pain and improve or restore mobility.
• PTs examine each individual and develop a plan using treatment techniques to promote movement, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
• PTs work with individuals to prevent loss of mobility by developing fitness- and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.
• Physical therapists provide care in various settings including hospitals, private practices, outpatient clinics, home health agencies, schools, sports and fitness facilities, work settings, and nursing homes.
• DPT preferred.
• At least one year inpatient experience (outside of student clinicals).
• Ability to work alone as the lone PT provider in the inpatient setting.
• Competency/knowledge in CMS skilled criteria/medical necessity guidelines.
• Experience with Meditech documentation system.
• Age groups treated range from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Job Requirements

• State licensure required in New Mexico.
• Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers.

Schedule Information

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• No weekends.
• No option for 48 hour guarantees.
• 36 hour guarantee.

Unit Specific Information

• This PT is the lone physical therapist provider in the inpatient setting.
• Scrub color: Green.
• EMR system: Cerner.
