Position Overview
\nType of Position: Travel
\nDescription:

\n\nCT Technologist - Overnight Weekend Position\n\nSchedule\n • Overnights: 7pm - 7:30am Friday, Saturday, Sunday • Holidays, on call and callback per unit needs • 4x12.0 hour shifts\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\n• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety • Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging • Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable • Insert IVs when necessary for the test • Positions patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling • Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC to include identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion • Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility\n\nRequirements\n • Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) • NYS licensure (must obtain PRIOR to starting position) • Two (2) Years' Experience • Level 1 Trauma Center Experience • BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) • Siemens Scanner Experience - 6 months\n\nPreferred\n • Injection certification preferred - must be willing to complete during orientation process • Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred • Epic Experience - 1 year highly desired\n\nSoft Skills Required\n• Effective written and verbal communication skills • A patient and compassionate disposition • Team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment\n\n
