LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a well-established manufacturing company in Dayton, NJ is seeking a Temporary Staff Accountant to support its finance team for a 3–6 month engagement. This hybrid role requires onsite presence three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday) and offers exposure to both operational and financial accounting functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting

• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and quarter-end close.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with variance analysis.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and schedules.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
• Assist with customer billing and collections.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and resolve discrepancies.

Financial Support

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Provide support for internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data.

Systems & Tools

• Utilize ERP systems for transaction processing and reporting.
• SAP S/4HANA experience preferred but not required.
• Maintain Excel-based reports and assist with data analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Schedule & Work Environment:

• Hybrid schedule: Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; remote Monday and Friday.
• Collaborative team environment with opportunities to contribute to process improvements.
• Temporary assignment with potential for extension based on business needs.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
