Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is proactively recruiting Staff Accountants in the Denver Metro Area for upcoming job opportunities with our clients. These opportunities may be temporary, temp-to-hire, or direct hire. Typical compensation is between $60,000 and $75,000 annually or the hourly rate equivalents. If the role is temporary or temp-to-hire, you will be able to sign up for LHH’s benefits programs (details below).
Typical Responsibilities:
-Reviewing financial statements
-Reconciling accounts and balance sheets
-Making journal entries
-Assisting with the month end, quarter end, and year end close processes
-Processing AP, AR, and payroll
-Running financial reports
-Preparing for internal and external audits
-Preparing and filing tax returns
-Maintaining compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations
-All other related tasks as required
Typical Qualifications:
-At least two years of recent, relevant experience in a similar accounting role
-Previous experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, NetSuite, Great Plains, etc.
-Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
-Excellent attention to detail
-Thorough knowledge of GAAP
-Excellent analytical skills
-Excellent organizational skills
-Proficiency with Microsoft Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas, etc.
Typical Compensation:
-Annual salary between $60,000 and $75,000 or the hourly rate equivalents
