Senior JavaScript/TypeScript Developer

Location: Hybrid role based in Vienna, VA, USA offering a balance between in-office and remote work.

About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Senior JavaScript/TypeScript Developer to join our innovative team. Your role will focus on developing and enhancing a sophisticated web-based application that facilitates advanced imagery and video analysis across various sectors. As part of the team, you will contribute to the creation of a high-performance, user-friendly platform that aids users in spatial analysis and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, maintain, and test applications, ensuring robust and scalable code.
  • Architect efficient and reusable solutions using JavaScript and TypeScript to address complex user needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, design, and resolve application architecture challenges.
  • Integrate diverse technologies and services into the platform.
  • Identify and resolve software defects and performance issues to enhance user experience and application reliability.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends in web development to contribute to the technological direction of the product.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development with expertise in TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as SASS, HTML5, and CSS.
  • Experience with web services and REST APIs for data integration.
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical and non-technical information clearly.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a U.S. Top Secret clearance with SCI access.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with GIS/Esri technologies and the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online platforms.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
