Sleep Medicine Physician at RecruitWell summary:

A board-certified or board-eligible Sleep Medicine Physician responsible for diagnosing and managing various sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, and narcolepsy. The role involves interpreting sleep studies, developing personalized treatment plans including CPAP therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The physician also participates in quality improvement initiatives and educates patients and families on sleep health.

• Evaluate and treat patients with sleep disorders in outpatient setting.
• Interpret sleep studies (polysomnography, home sleep apnea testing, MSLT, MWT).
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including CPAP therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), and pharmacologic approaches.
• Collaborate with sleep technologists, and DME providers.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation
• Participate in sleep center quality improvement initiatives and accreditation compliance (e.g., AASM standards).
• Educate patients and their families on sleep health and treatment compliance.

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Sleep Medicine.
• Board certification in a primary specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry, Pulmonary Medicine, Family Medicine).
• Valid medical license (or eligibility) in Washington State
• DEA license.
• Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills.

• Experience in adult only sleep medicine
• Familiarity with AASM accreditation requirements.
