The Hire Solution has partnered with a north Dallas Government Contract Administrator for the immediate fulltime role of Senior Staff Accountant. We are looking for a Senior Staff or Staff Accountant to help with full cycle accounting and close duties, reporting to the Controller in the accounting department. Prior healthcare or nonprofit accounting experience is desired but not required, and additional requirements are as follows:

• Accountant to help reconcile large, complex bank accounts.
• Strong accounting knowledge of journal entries and debits and credits
• Assists with monthly status reports, monthly closing process and annual audit process.
• Assist in the financial planning of the organization including the annual budget preparation for assigned departments and programs.
• Prepares all Grant Reports (monthly/quarterly/annually) required for Mental Health Federal, State, and Local Grants and contracts. 
• Assures reports are filed timely and accurately. 
• Reconcile assigned grant financial reports to the general ledger.
• Accountant to help research / find transactions and clear transactions off of the accounting software.
• Assists in preparing monthly Cash Flow Forecasts and Cash Flow Projections.

Assist with schedule preparation for annual & single audit. 

• Maintain cash management records, including funds drawn and received, funds disbursed by sources, deposits of funds,

issuance of refunds, and classifies revenue as to sources of funding.

Requirements:

• Legally eligible to work in US without sponsorship
• Degree in accounting, finance or related discipline from an AACSB-accredited school
• Strong experience in account reconciliations, close process and general ledger
• Non profit or healthcare accounting experience a huge plus
• ERP experience in Blackbaud or Sage Abila
• Intermediate MS Excel, able to deal with large data sets
