Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Residential Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction of high-quality homes from start to finish. This role is responsible for managing subcontractors, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with specifications — all while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Construction ManagementManage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely, high-quality work that meets all company and customer standards.
Monitor construction budgets throughout each project; review and update costs through Variance Purchase Orders (VPOs).
Approve vendor invoices and ensure trade partner accountability.
Consult with architects, owners, and leadership on design changes and issue resolution.
Deliver homes on or ahead of schedule using the company’s scheduling software.
Conduct and document job site inspections at all phases of construction.
Complete customer walk-throughs within one week of completion and secure final approval.
Follow checklists for inspections, quality control, and standard operating procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site that reflects company professionalism.
Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners throughout the construction process.
Provide regular updates on project progress and set clear expectations.
Anticipate, prevent, and resolve customer issues in a professional, proactive manner.
Collaborate with realtors, owners, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless homebuilding experience.
Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements within local jurisdictions.
Enforce company policies and standards for on-site operations, safety, and workmanship.
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
3–5 years of experience in residential or new home construction (required).
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and subcontractors simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
Proficiency with construction scheduling and project management software.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in custom or semi-custom homebuilding (preferred)
Must live in the build area of Iberia, Vermillion or St Mary parish.
