The Opportunity:

Are you ready to make a difference? Saint Luke's North Hospital's Radiation Therapy Department is on the lookout for a passionate Radiation Therapist to join our dedicated Radiation Oncology team!

Shift:

Monday to Friday (with rotating on-call duties) from 8 AM to 4:30 PM (times may vary). Enjoy your weekends and holidays off!

Responsibilities:

As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a vital role in patient care under the supervision of the manager and the professional direction of the radiation oncologist. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing various radiotherapy treatments and simulations with minimal supervision.
• Assisting in the development of new techniques and processes for simulations and treatments.
• Delivering daily radiation therapy treatments based on physician prescriptions and setup instructions.
• Scheduling patients for treatment and maintaining accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
• Participating in continuing education programs and departmental quality assurance initiatives.
• Maintaining current licensure and accreditation in the Radiation Oncology profession.
• Offering assistance to coworkers during downtime.
• Actively participating in department meetings.
• Staying flexible and maintaining a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
• Utilizing imaging technologies for simulation, treatment planning, and delivery.
• Performing daily warm-up procedures on simulation and linear accelerators.
• Complying with department safety policies and procedures.
• Providing compassion and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Maintaining a positive attitude towards patients and peers.

Job Requirements:

Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year

Certifications: Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross), Radiation Therapy (ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

Education: Associate Degree
