Overview Arcetyp LLC is a growing small business providing consulting services to US Federal Government, US Military, and Commercial clients in Management & IT Consulting, Program & Project Management, and Professional & Admin Services. This position is onsite in Yokosuka, Japan. We do not sponsor H1B; we accept direct hire candidates only (W2). We do not accept 1099, staffing firms, or corp-to-corp candidates. Responsibilities Work closely with clinical staff and base personnel regarding patient awareness of mental health wellness programs (addictions, stress management, group therapies). Provide patient consultations requested by Naval Hospital staff health care providers within guidelines established by the Naval Hospital. Deliver records and reports documenting procedures and care using HMSI standards. Participate in the implementation of the Family Advocacy Program as directed by government supervisor. Attend and comply with annual training classes required by the Command/Government Supervisor. Actively participate in the command’s Performance Improvement Program, review care provided, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend corrective action when needed. Perform efficiently in emergency patient situations following established protocols, maintain calm, inform appropriate persons, and document events. Comply with The Joint Commission standards, applicable laws, and regulations pertaining to licensure and medical facility operation, including MTF bylaws. Provide training/direction to supporting government employees (e.g., hospital corpsmen, students). Operate automated systems (e.g., CHCS, AHLTA, ADS, Essentra's, CIS) and participate in PI and RM functions as prescribed by the Commander. Attend and participate in meetings as directed by government supervisor. Maintain HIPAA privacy and security policies; obtain/maintain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) per DoD and MT policy. Provide timely, accurate, and concise documentation of patient care; maintain records and reports as required. Abbreviations must be limited to those listed in local instructions. Provide On-Call services as required, including returning phone calls within 15 minutes of notification. Provide Call-Back services as required, including ability to render services within one hour of notification. Necessary Skills & Knowledge Adhere to DoD, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, and local instructions during the contract term. Practice aseptic techniques and infection control guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of infectious waste and universal precautions. Apply awareness of legal issues in patient care and manage situations with reduced risk. Respect patient and significant others’ rights as identified within the MTF. Maintain a DoD email account as directed by the government supervisor. Delegate tasks appropriately in the health care team and clinic activities. Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and DoD, Navy, and MTF instructions and policies. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook). Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English; maintain good communication with patients and health care personnel. Minimum Qualifications Residency training in Psychiatry and neurology approved by ACGME or equivalent Canadian/other approved Canadian medical authorities. Board Certification in Psychiatry. Minimum 1 year full-time experience as a Psychiatrist within the last 3 years. In good standing with the state licensure board with no restrictions in any state where license has been held in the last 10 years. In good standing with no federal sanctions or suspensions. Current certification in either American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers or Healthcare Provider Course. Ability to pass all background/suitability checks. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed. Preferred Qualifications Understanding of the military lifestyle and experience working with military family members. Working knowledge of relevant military, state, federal, and local laws and resources. Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills. Min. Citizenship Status Required: U.S. Citizenship.
