Job Description

The Parking Lot Attendant is responsible for maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient parking area for customers, patients, and employees. This role requires excellent customer service skills, situational awareness, and the ability to provide clear directions to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience. The ideal candidate is professional, proactive, and capable of handling high-traffic situations while ensuring safety and order in the parking facility.

As the first point of contact for many visitors, the Parking Lot Attendant plays a key role in shaping the customer experience. This individual will actively manage parking flow, assist customers with parking and exiting, and monitor the premises for security purposes. Additionally, the attendant will ensure cleanliness and compliance with parking policies while collaborating with store leadership to address any concerns.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Guest Assistance
  
  • Greet customers and patients warmly upon arrival.
  • Direct vehicles to appropriate parking spaces to maximize efficiency.
  • Assist guests with exiting vehicles and navigating the parking area when needed.
  • Provide helpful information about the facility, store policies, and general directions.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Traffic & Parking Lot Management
  
  • Monitor vehicle flow and adjust guidance to prevent congestion.
  • Ensure parking spaces are utilized effectively, especially during peak hours.
  • Identify and report unauthorized vehicles or potential parking violations.
  • Assist in enforcing designated parking rules, including reserved and accessible spaces.
• Safety & Security Monitoring
  
  • Observe parking lot activity to detect suspicious behavior or potential safety hazards.
  • Report any security concerns, accidents, or unusual incidents to management and authorities as needed.
  • Coordinate vehicle towing/removal when necessary.
  • Collaborate with security personnel to maintain a safe environment.
  • Assist customers in safely exiting the parking facility, particularly during high-traffic periods.
• Maintenance & Cleanliness
  
  • Ensure the parking lot remains clean and free of debris by regularly picking up trash.
  • Report any maintenance needs, such as potholes, damaged signage, or lighting issues.
  • Maintain clear and accessible pathways for both vehicles and pedestrians.

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to give clear and concise directions.
• Strong situational awareness and the ability to identify potential safety or security concerns.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Dependability and punctuality, with the ability to adhere to a set schedule.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Previous experience in customer service, security, valet, or parking lot management.
• Basic knowledge of traffic flow principles and parking lot operations.
• Experience working in a retail or dispensary setting is a plus
