Responsibilities You'll play a critical role supporting attorneys and clients through the full estate planning lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:
•Drafting and preparing legal documents
•Filing documents with the courts and managing e-filing procedures
•Managing deadlines and attorney calendars to drive the timely completion of all work
•Organizing client documents, financials, and case files for efficient access
•Meeting with clients to gather information, review materials, and provide updates
•Coordinating with opposing counsel and court staff as needed
•Supporting attorneys in hearing and trial prep, including assembling exhibits
•Delegating and following up on tasks with legal assistants when applicable
Qualifications •
Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience , preferably in
Estate or Elder Planning •Want to do work that truly matters
•Strong emotional intelligence - able to work with clients in crisis with empathy and professionalism
•Hold yourself to high standards while staying real and approachable
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to deadlines
•Believe that compassion and competence go hand in hand
•Think beyond "either/or" and look for win-win solutions
•Value structure, but aren't afraid to innovate
•Like to work independently, but value strong team collaboration
•Willingness to occasionally work after hours to meet deadlines
•Comfortable with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
•Knowledge of Tennessee and local legal procedures is strongly preferred
•Paralegal certification or equivalent education preferred
