The Mayer Fabrics Order Fulfillment Associate plays a very intricate role in order processing. The Fabric Cutter is responsible for picking, inspecting, cutting, and transporting rolled fabric to the shipping department for packaging. Additionally, the Order Fulfillment Associate will be responsible for communicating any and all order issues/questions to the Customer Service Department and/or Warehouse Manager.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Ensure customers are getting correct pattern and color by cross checking paperwork with item tags
• Run and cut fabric for yardage orders
• Ship the best quality of fabric possible
  • Inspect fabrics for flaws and defects
• Straighten aisles where fabrics are located
• Communicate with Customer Service to ensure orders are filled accurately and correctly. (I.e., pieces, flaws, allowances for pieces, etc.)
• Assist team members during times of heavy volume and/or absences
• Assist walk-in customers as needed
• Assist in taking physical inventories
• Communicate inventory issues to Warehouse Manager to help maintain accuracy

QUALIFICATIONS:

• PC literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, bend, stoop, and lift
• General know-how of warehouse processes
• Knowledge of fabric is preferred
• General math knowledge
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
