Medical office in Rockaway Park needs a strong Office Manager

5-10 years of experience, small team

Looking for a dedicated and experienced Office Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy practice.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring exceptional patient care, efficient office operations, and a supportive work environment for clinical and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee scheduling, patient intake, insurance verification, and medical records.

  • Supervise and support administrative and non-clinical staff; provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and healthcare standards.

  • Monitor and optimize daily workflows to maintain efficient patient flow and minimize wait times.

  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure seamless communication and high-quality patient care.

  • Manage billing, collections, and coordination with revenue cycle teams.

  • Handle supply ordering, inventory, vendor relations, and maintenance of office equipment.

  • Serve as a liaison between the Rockaway Boulevard practice and hospital leadership.

  • Support quality improvement initiatives and resolve patient concerns or operational issues proactively.

    • Minimum 3–5 years of administrative or office management experience in a medical setting

    • Strong knowledge of medical office operations and patient scheduling systems

    • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Qualifications:

  • Required:

    • High school diploma or GED

    • Minimum 3–5 years of administrative or office management experience in a medical setting

    • Strong knowledge of medical office operations and patient scheduling systems

    • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably Epic

    • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Preferred:

    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field

    • Previous experience in OB/GYN or women’s health practices
