GEE Group has partnered with a growing manufacturer, seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to translate product specifications into comprehensive designs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Design and Development : Create and refine tools, mechanical devices, controls, equipment, and mechanical processes, identifying and addressing process deficiencies.
· Product Integration : Lead the implementation, transition, and integration of new products and process platforms from R&D into the current manufacturing environment.
· Quality Assurance : Ensure product quality through the design of testing methods, prototyping, and confirmation of fabrication processes.
· Team Collaboration : Facilitate interaction between teams and departments to optimize setup, reduce changeover times, and enhance quality.
· CAD Projects : Generate CAD drawings for new projects and update existing ones.
· Technical Analysis: Analyze technical data, including sheet metal forming and tool & die design.
· Maintenance Coordination : Ensure equipment operational efficiency by coordinating maintenance and repair services.
· Mentorship : Mentor team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
· Technical Support: Provide technical support to plant staff, troubleshooting mechanical issues alongside the maintenance team.
· Project Management: Develop and submit scopes of work for each project, including budget estimates and project goals, accompanied by analytical reports.
· Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements.
· Safety Compliance : Adhere to and promote safety policies and procedures within the plant.
Education & Experience Requirements:
· Degree : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
· Experience : Relevant experience in mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment.
· Technical Skills : Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD, as well as equipment maintenance and PLC controls.
· CNC Machinery : Knowledge and experience in utilizing and programming CNC machinery.
