Licensed Massage Therapist

The Spa at Shear Ego is seeking a professional client-oriented, licensed massage therapist who loves helping people feel their best. We’re looking for a team player who has experience with a variety of massage techniques, is deeply committed to creating a positive client experience, and accustomed to treating a variety of physical conditions and creating individualized treatment plans. Requirements:

• Must possess a valid current New York State license
• At least one year of experience
• Certified by a credible massage therapy school
• In depth understanding of anatomy and movement in relation to soft tissue manipulation
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and positive energy
• Evening and some weekend availability required (Part-time and Full-time positions)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform 35, 50, and 80-minute Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Prenatal massages in a professional and comfortable setting
• Analyze clients' current medical and physical prior to treatment
• Ensure the rooms are cleaned after each treatment and at the end of each shift
• Remain compliant with all state regulatory boards in regard to intake forms and waivers
• Promote Spa and Salon services and products
• Provide a positive experience for our clients from the moment they walk in the door
• Educate clients on lifestyle changes to improve their health
• Practice and follow all Department of Professional Regulation policies and procedures, including all sanitation and hygiene standards, as well as maintain a clean, professional environment at all times
• Perform general Spa duties, as needed.
