Positions: Laboratory Technician

Locations: 2200 Rittenhouse St, Des Moines, Iowa 50321

Hours: MONDAY-FRIDAY 12PM-8:30PM 

Pay Rate: $17.50-$19.50 (+2.5% for off shift)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 5-month contract to hire

Plusses:

• AS or BS Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field. Experience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.

Day-to-Day:

Insight Global is looking to hire a laboratory technician for a client of ours in the Des Moines, Iowa area. Below are general responsibilities.

• Complete laboratory testing on all incoming samples in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner; ensure sample turnaround time goals are met or exceeded.
• Verify results and submit results to the appropriate personnel for transmission, in a timely manner.
• Identify process difficulties and report these together with proposed solutions to supervisor.
• Identify non-conformances and out-of-specifications.
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

$17.50/hr. to $19.50/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
