Global Oil & Gas leader is recruiting WORLDWIDE for a JAPANESE PROFESSIONAL OPEN TO RELOCATE TO SINGAPORE to their Regional Hub for APAC.

Fully paid relocation together with family. 

Location: Singapore (Global relocation support provided) 

Mobility: Mandatory Frequent APAC Travel (Excluding China)

We are seeking exceptional candidates to join our team as Subject Matter Expert (SME) Leads. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will leverage a minimum of 10 years of specialized audit experience to drive change, challenge processes, and influence executive stakeholders.

Role Mandate & Core Responsibilities

This role operates within a "no-hierarchy" culture, emphasizing individual expertise and accountability. As an SME Lead, you will:

Lead Engagements: Function as the primary Audit Lead for cross-functional and complex engagements in your specialized domain.

Drive Change: Challenge existing controls and processes, identify complex risks, and manage sensitive executive relationships to ensure successful risk mitigation and organizational improvement.

Hands-On Execution: Deliver end-to-end assurance—from scoping and execution to reporting and follow-up. Support peers on engagements where their expertise is required.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of progressive, hands-on internal audit experience.

Speak and write English and Japanese 

MUST BE EXPERIENCE AND FAMAILAR WITH JAPAN AUDIT STANDARD

Willingness to relocate to Singapore (Japanese candidates )

Require at least a Bachelor's degree plus significant work experience with the CIA certification typically requires a Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience.

While a Master's degree (such as an MBA or a Master's in Accounting) is not required by the job posting, it is highly valued and can often reduce the required years of professional experience needed for certain certifications.

Ability to undertake frequent and mandatory travel across the APAC region (excluding China).

Non-Negotiable Professional Certifications

Candidates must possess one or more of the following: CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CPA (Certified Public Accountant)

CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CRMA (Certified Risk Management Assurance)

and ISO 22301 (Business Continuity Management)

Subject Matter Expertise (SME) - Minimum of Two Areas

The successful candidate must be a proven SME in at least two specialized audit areas listed below, with the ability to articulate Risk Mitigations, Audit Frameworks, and a clear 3-Step Execution Process for their domains.
