Position Summary 

The 24/7 Travel Stores company seeks an experienced and highly skilled IT Director to lead and support all technical areas of the company. Strategic thinking and a strong business acumen are essential in this role. In addition to overseeing day-to-day IT-related issues within the company, the IT Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company’s technology resources. The IT Director will also be tasked with anticipating, assessing, and communicating the short and long-term technology needs of the company. The ideal candidate will possess a knowledge of the retail petroleum industry including POS technology. The IT Director will possess strong leadership skills, the ability to work closely and effectively with the President and other members of the leadership team. The IT Director will report directly to the President.

Key Responsibilities

The IT Director is a key management leader within the 24/7 Travel Stores company and will directly supervise all technology aspects of the organization. 

Essential Functions of the IT Director

1. Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals.
2. Monitor and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage.
3. Help stores and departments use technology profitably.
4. Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency.
5. Ensuring that technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs.
6. Creating timelines for the development and deployment of technological services.
7. Maintaining a consumer-focused outlook and delivering IT projects to market.
8. Managing technology budgets and time frames.
9. Maintain awareness of technology trends and developments relevant to 24/7 Travel Stores.
10. Build quality assurance, security, and data protection processes.
11. Use feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology.
12. Communicate technology strategy to company leaders and key staff.

Professional Qualifications and Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information technology within a retail environment
• Minimum of five years of IT experience at a supervisory level.
