We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and administrative support. Responsibilities:
• Facilitate the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
• Manage onboarding activities to ensure a seamless transition for new hires, including orientation and documentation.
• Conduct regulated background checks and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Maintain HR records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Assist in scheduling and coordinating meetings, interviews, and training sessions.
• Provide administrative support to the HR team, including preparing reports and correspondence.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address employee inquiries and resolve HR-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols, including TB screening and vaccination requirements.
• Utilize HRIS systems to manage employee data and generate reports.
• Support the implementation of HR initiatives and policies to enhance organizational performance.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources or related roles.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and other HR-related software.
• Strong understanding of recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Experience conducting background checks and ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
• Familiarity with vaccination and health screening protocols is preferred.
