Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and healthcare-savvy professional to support hospital transactions through comprehensive financial modeling, valuation analysis, and diligence coordination. This team is responsible for owning the purchase price and full deal model, end-to-end, across acquisitions, divestitures, partnerships, and joint ventures in the healthcare provider space.

Ideal candidates will bring deep experience in provider valuation, synergy modeling, operational benchmarking, and business case development, with a strong foundation in corporate finance. Preference will be given to those with CFA, CPA, or similar credentials, and those with healthcare-focused financial due diligence (FDD) backgrounds—particularly at the manager level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and own complex financial models to evaluate hospital acquisitions and partnerships, including full integration of synergies and pro forma analysis.
  • Conduct rigorous valuation assessments using DCF, precedent transaction, and public comp methodologies tailored to the healthcare provider landscape.
  • Develop operational and financial benchmarks (e.g., margin, staffing, cost per case) to support synergy assumptions and business case development.
  • Prepare investment cases and board-ready presentations synthesizing financial insights, benchmarks, and qualitative findings.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, legal, and external advisors to test assumptions and support transaction execution.
  • Drive the full purchase price and valuation process from initial modeling through close.
  • Support and organize diligence processes, including data room management, DD kickoff planning, cross-functional workstream coordination, and issue tracking (RAID log).
  • Create centralized diligence workbooks, track findings, and reconcile outputs into final reporting packages.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Healthcare Administration; MBA, CFA, or CPA strongly preferred.
  • 3–6 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, healthcare consulting, or Big 4 healthcare FDD—ideally at the manager level.
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare provider valuation drivers, reimbursement, cost structures, and key operational metrics.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel modeling; strong PowerPoint skills for executive-ready presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or support cross-functional M&A workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with acute and specialty hospitals, health systems, or physician groups.
  • Hands-on involvement in synergy identification and integration planning.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Capital IQ, Kaufman Hall, or similar benchmarking platforms.
  • 2+ years of experience coordinating healthcare provider M&A projects, with exposure to diligence scheduling, deck/report consolidation, and stakeholder management.
