Job Description
Select Interiors, LLC is searching for a full-time experienced, Flooring Estimator for multi-family construction projects. Candidates who possess the required skills will be evaluated immediately.
This position requires an individual to do accurate flooring measurements and translating those measurements into detailed material takeoffs. This individual must be a self-starter, personally well- organized/detailed.
PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:
• Ability to read, understand, and analyze blue-prints and interior design drawings, interpret specifications, and make material take-offs.
• Identify omissions and inaccuracies in plans
• Understand ASIs, RFIs, and plan changes, write applicable change order takeoffs as needed.
• Provide detailed takeoffs accurate bidding instructions by material and labor based on construction documents, contract bids, builder emails, descriptions of work from sales staff, schematic drawings and specifications.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and customers.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
• Experience in Construction Takeoff Software & FloorRight and/or MeasureSquare Takeoff Software (preferred)
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to Multi-Task & Prioritize
• Ability to Meet Deadlines & Attention to detail
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Ability to understand how material takeoffs fit into the whole bidding process.
