Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and upgrade existing network installations
  • Install fiber optic connections across residential, commercial, and enterprise environments
  • Terminate and manage fiber optic cables
  • Accurately document all network installations
  • Perform audits and inspections on newly completed network construction projects
  • Repair and restore damaged network infrastructure
  • Deploy additional network cabinets and node sites as needed
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience in all interactions
  • Exhaust all troubleshooting and repair options before pausing work orders
  • Work closely with dispatch and leadership to identify and resolve issues that could hinder project completion

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Reliable and punctual, adhering to the company dress code
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work vehicle and environment
  • Experience with 802.11 Wireless Networking installation and troubleshooting (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP configuration and troubleshooting (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the role
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Vocational training or an apprenticeship background (preferred)
  • Valid Class E Driver’s License (required)
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs while carrying materials weighing 40-60 pounds
  • Willingness to travel to various job locations, with up to four hours of travel per day
  • Ability to work in diverse temperatures and weather conditions
  • Proficiency in navigating and inspecting all areas of a job site under various conditions, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, and stretching
  • Awareness of common construction site hazards
  • Ability to differentiate colors, shades, and brightness levels
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing job requirements and schedules
