Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced ESL Teacher to support K-12 students in Arlington Heights, IL, for a full-semester contract position. This role focuses on delivering high-quality English as a Second Language instruction, fostering language development and academic success among diverse learners.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing effective ESL lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Assessing student language proficiency and tailoring instruction to meet individual needs
• Supporting students language acquisition in reading, writing, speaking, and listening
• Collaborating with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate language learning across subjects
• Maintaining accurate student records and providing progress reports
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and cultural awareness

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Valid teaching certification with ESL endorsement or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience teaching ESL to K-12 students in a classroom setting
