This is a remote position.

As an Entry-Level Data Entry Clerk working remotely for Colour Line Hair Studio, you will support the salon’s administrative backbone by accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data related to client appointments, service records, retail inventory, and vendor transactions. Your work ensures the behind-the-scenes data aligns with the salon’s mission: “we believe your hair should reflect who you really are… and the way you want to feel.”

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and update data into systems for salon operations including client profiles (service history, preferences), appointment records, retail product inventory, vendor purchase orders, and invoices.
  

• Review source documents such as appointment logs, service sheets, vendor receipts, and retail shipment logs for completeness and accuracy prior to input; flag any inconsistencies or missing information and follow up with relevant teams.
  

• Organize and maintain digital files and spreadsheets: apply naming conventions, archive obsolete entries, remove duplicates, and keep records organized and accessible.
  

• Assist with basic report preparation: track volumes of data entries completed, summarise backlog or error rates, and present findings to management or operations support leads.
  

• Collaborate remotely with salon staff (front desk, stylists, retail team) to collect required data, clarify missing fields, and ensure remote-entered data accurately reflects on-site activities.
  

• Uphold confidentiality and security of sensitive data (client preferences, vendor pricing, inventory) according to company policies and remote-work best practices.
  

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required; coursework or certificate in office administration, data management or similar is a plus.
  

• Strong typing skills with high accuracy; comfortable entering large amounts of data and maintaining consistency across multiple fields.
  

• Familiarity with spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets) — able to apply basic formulas, filters and clean-up tasks; able to learn and use internal systems or software tools as required.
  

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain quality while handling multiple tasks.
  

• Good organisational and time-management skills: able to prioritise tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
  

• Clear written and verbal communication skills — able to follow up with team members, ask clarifying questions and provide remote updates.
  

• Reliable remote-work setup: stable internet connection, quiet workspace, self-motivated and comfortable working virtually.
  

• Interest in the beauty industry or retail-oriented environment is a plus and aligns with Colour Line’s culture of creativity and personalised service.
