About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be a strategic and operational partner, driving clinical excellence, and supporting quality and medical management in a highly matrixed environment. This role is pivotal in achieving measurable health outcomes and cost containment, as well as in the overall growth and success of the health plan. The CMO will be accountable for the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective healthcare that is transparent and consumer-focused, in line with the company's purpose and values. Responsibilities include serving as a clinical leader for state regulators, providers, and other key partners, and ensuring that clinical programs are compliant with all national and state regulations. Applicants must have at least 5 years' of experience in the healthcare delivery system, including clinical practice and the health care industry, and a minimum of 3 years' experience in Medicaid and managed care. The role requires a physician with a current, unencumbered license and board certification in a recognized specialty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in population health management, managed care, and a passion for driving better outcomes in healthcare delivery. Understanding of value-based contracting and its relationship to improving the quality of care is also essential. The CMO will be a key leader in the organization, with responsibilities that include providing clinical expertise, shaping integrative care models, and collaborating with various teams to ensure the delivery of personalized, convenient, and affordable healthcare.
