Business Analyst (Smartsheet & Excel Expert)

This role is for a Business Analyst (Smartsheet & Excel Expert) in Salt Lake City or New York (preferred), with a 6?month contract at $50.00 - $75.00 per hour. Requires advanced Smartsheet and Excel skills, internal audit experience, and U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Smartsheet Administration & Automation: Manage complex Smartsheet environment, including templates, live sheets, references, email automation, workflow automations, sheet?based automations, reports, dashboards, and architect multi?sheet systems.
• Strategic Excel Analysis & Insights: Conduct rapid?turnaround analysis for business reviews and leadership visibility; build complex integrated formulas, custom analytical frameworks, and propose insights under tight deadlines.
• Executive Presentations & Visual Storytelling: Create compelling executive decks and visual narratives that drive leadership decisions.
• SharePoint & Confluence Project Administration: Handle project?level administration, access management, rapid changes, and build no?code automation workflows between tools.
• Project & Portfolio Governance: Coordinate tracking of action items and commitments across global internal audit teams, manage quarterly functional inventories.
• Knowledge Management: Establish and maintain a centralized Confluence repository with documentation standards and accessibility.
• Technical Backlog Management: Centralize intake requests, govern prioritization, and liaise as business analyst translating business needs into technical requirements.
• Meeting Coordination & Operational Support: Manage meeting minutes, agendas, business review data compilation, and support Chief of Staff.
• Relationship Management: Build stakeholder relationships across technical teams to senior leadership, support training initiatives and team engagement.

Qualifications

• Smartsheet Expertise: Comprehensive proficiency with templates, live sheets, references, email and workflow automations, sheet?based automations, reports, dashboards.
• Excel Expertise: Advanced mastery of complex integrated formulas, independent analytical thinking, data intuition, rapid turnaround capability.
• Executive Communication: Strong presentation, visual design, and efficient deck development skills.
• SharePoint & Confluence: Administration proficiency, rapid implementation of changes, no?code automation workflows.
• Seasoned Professional: Proven track record in complex global organizations juggling multiple priorities.
• Internal Audit Knowledge: Experience supporting audit teams and understanding function?specific processes.
• Communication & Relationship Building: Effective at all levels, proactive self?starter.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required.

Compensation & Hours

Hourly rate: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour.

Contract length: 6?month initial term with conversion potential.

Expected hours: 40 per week.

Work location: Salt Lake City, UT 84101 or New York, NY (preferred); on?site, 5 days a week.
